Old photo #1 - Loon panorama

I'll be going through a lot of old photos over the next week or two as I prepare some magazine submissions and make some new prints for upcoming shows, and will share a few of what I find.

This is from a canoe trip I took to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in Northern Minnesota last July. Cropped in post to a 3x1 panoramic aspect ratio, which is one of my favorite ways to prep some photos. This one is only cropped by trimming off some from the top and bottom, none off the sides.

This was taken just before sunset, which is why the water was a golden color. Shot from the stern of a canoe too. Makes me long for the paddle again...

Did an engagement shoot for Amanda and Peter on Sunday....they sure are a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to shooting their wedding in June.

February 7 - Hard light portrait

My friend Christian was gracious enough to sit for me for a few minutes so I could practice some lighting techniques. There is some photoshop involved in this too, but it's a lot easier if you get it right in camera first...
