March 22 - Another sign of spring

Well, they ain't pretty, that's for sure...but the boxelder bugs clumping up and basking in the sun on my patio are another sure sign of spring:

I wonder if their presence means that there are lots of boxelder trees around...hmm...maybe it's time to grab a couple of taps and see if I can make some syrup.
