June 10 - Tattooed Bridesmaid

One of my favorite things to do is a "lifestyle" photo shoot, where I get to tag along with a client, or head to their place, and photograph real life moments. Yesterday was one of those days.

Someone I'd photographed in the past is going to be a bridesmaid in a wedding this weekend, and decided a henna tattooed garter on her thigh would be great for the festivities. She asked if I would come along to document the process.

When I got there, I was very happy to discover large windows on two sides of the room, so we'd have plenty of natural light.

Here is a shot where my tilt shift really shines, because it allowed me to keep the artist's face and the tattoo both in focus while shooting wide open:

June 6 - Backyard Lupines

Snapped a few quick photos of some Lupines in a friend's backyard in the rain. It was evening, but a wide aperture and ISO 800 did the trick. They are pretty unique flowers, amazing color. I'm not much of a flower photographer, but it's what I shot on the 6th...

June 2 - Happy Birthday Annie

My littlest one turned 2 on June 2nd. I know I just posted a photo of her on the swingset a couple of weeks ago...but the light is just so good out there.

Oh yeah...and she's pretty cute too. Happy Birthday Anna!

June 1 - Trent

Two year old boys are tough to shoot. They never hold still. But they are also very fun. If you aren't trying to pose them formally, that is.

If you can keep up, they provide some pretty fun moments. This is Trent. He's two...and he's good at it.
