While we were up north on Lake Superior with our friends, I got an opportunity to cook breakfast for everyone. Inspired by a recent episode of Food Network's Diners, Drive-in's and Dives, I took a crack at a breakfast sandwich I saw someone else make. I'm sure my doctor would NOT approve.
The sandwich consisted of crispy boneless fried chicken topped with homemade sausage gravy, thick cut bacon, sharp cheddar cheese, and an over-easy fried egg, all on homemade buttermilk biscuits. (I did use low-fat buttermilk for the biscuits). It turned out pretty well, even if I do say so myself, but next time the chicken needs to be cut thinner. Sandwich was so thick that I had to eat it with a fork.

There's nothing magical about the camera/lens combo I used. It's simply what was laying nearby before I dug into the sandwich. I wanted to make a photo before I ate it, but I was hungry enough that I didn't want to bother searching for a better lens.
